I have a GE Imager 310 CRT projector that I recently acquired. I've been feeding it S-Video from either a DVD player or a Tivo, and it's been happy with that.
Today I added a DVDO Iscan Plus line doubler to the system, configured with S-Video in (from both sources), and output in RGBHV into the projector's control unit.
When I feed S-Video directly into the projector, the picture is beautifully bright. When I run it through the line doubler, I get a picture that is so dim it's unusable. There's no brightness adjustment on the doubler, and I've kicked the projector's brightness to max.
Anybody have any ideas?

Re: Problem with brightness after adding line doubler -- solved!
Mon, December 20, 2004 - 10:32 PMProblem solved! I was fussing with the brightness control, and that didn't seem to affect the RGB inputs as far as I could tell.
After staring at knobs and buttons and scratching my head for a while, I discovered the RGB gain controls. Boosting those solved my problem nicely.
